This was way better than the first in the trilogy. The story was much more original and better characters were introduced, it is simply a much better book. Its strange to read a book based in Sweden as it’s so unusual, I think most people including myself are used to reading thrillers based in New York or some other American city so it’s really quite refreshing actually.
I love Salander and there is a bit of the book where she disappears for a while and it suffers without her. She is a brilliant character and you really root for her to come through everything and be ok. Blomkvist, we don’t see as much of as in the previous book which I think is an improvement, he’s an okay character but its Lisbeth we’re really interested in.
Now I’m extremely excited about settling down to read the final and third book. Girl who played with fire is a cracker of a read and I’d recommend it to a friend, as they say!!
