Sadie Walker is Stranded by Madeline Roux (Zombie Series #2)

26 Jul

I’m just so annoyed that Ms Rouz does not have any more books released yet in this series because this and Allison Hewitt is Trapped were some of the best zombie books I’ve ever read. This may have been possibly even better than Allison Hewitt as it was just so fast paced and exciting.

The story follows, shocker, Sadie Walker who is living in Seattle post zombie apocalypse. They have kind of started to rebuild and live in a fairly safe environment with a distinct lack of zombies. Sadie lives with her nephew, Shane and her boyfriend Carl. I’m not really sure what the whole storyline was about in the first few chapters about Carl as I don’t personally think there was much need of it. Bit pointless in my eyes.

Anyway shockingly there is another outbreak situation and Sadie has to flee with her nephew and friend Andrea on a boat away from Seattle. They wander aimlessly for a while until eventually after a few mishaps they crash-land on an island where they meet up with other survivors and start to try to eke out a living.

However everything is not what it seems with the island and things slowly start to disintegrate. I won’t go into too much detail about the ending as there is a lot of twists and turns all of which are very exciting and I’d hate to ruin them on you! Suffice to say I liked this book and really enjoyed the whole storyline.
